Fr. Steven Pavagnano, OFM
I was born in Hoboken, N.J. My Dad was a baker and my Mom occasionally worked in an embroidery factory. I am the oldest of three children and grew up in New Jersey cities with my two sisters. I have three nieces and one grandnephew. I worked in a tool and die factory and a grocery warehouse while going to college. My hobbies are model railroading and railfanning (watching trains).
I entered the Franciscan novitiate in Brookline, MA making first vows in 1974. After novitiate, I attended Washington Theological Union then ordained a deacon in 1977 and a priest in 1978. Most of my ministry has been in parishes (30 years between South Carolina, Georgia and Florida including 9 years as campus minister at the U. of Georgia).
Looking forward to getting to know you. I am particularly interested in developing opportunities for Adult Faith Enrichment; Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC); involvement with Interfaith concerns including with Muslims and taking part in various prayer services.
