REMARRIAGE PREPARATION WORKSHOP
Re-marrying in the Catholic Church after a death of a spouse or a
divorce and annulment presents spiritual and human challenges that
require specific strengths. To help couples prepare for this new
relationship the Diocese is offering a remarriage preparation workshop
on Saturday, October 28, at St. James Catholic Church in Savannah from
9:30 a.m. until
4:30 p.m. The registration cost is $50/couple. The presenters are a
licensed marriage and family therapist, the director of the Catholic
Tribunal, and the director of the Family Life Office. To register
call Judy Clark at 912-927-4725 or email familylife@diosav.org for a
registration form.
SOUTHERN CROSS SUBSCRIPTION DRIVE
How do you paint a portrait of 78,000 Catholics living throughout 90
counties of South Georgia? You do it one story at a time. Week by week,
the Southern Cross brings news of the world, the nation, parishes and
people to the mailboxes of families all over the Diocese of Savannah. On
the weekend of October 14-15 you will have an opportunity to renew or
start a subscription to your diocesan newspaper. Please use the envelope
enclosed in the brochure recently mailed to your home. If you did not
receive one, or if you need extras, you will find them in the church
vestibule. Place your envelope with a $20 check inside—a bargain for 45
issues a year—in the collection basket.
R.C.I.A. CLASSES
R.C.I.A. classes will resume on Tuesday, October 3, at 7 p.m.
If you are interested, call the office at 788-6386.

Learn the truth about global warming through partnership with Georgia
Interfaith Power & Light. Mount de Sales Academy will host a preview of
the film to see what the faith community can and must do to address this
