BLESSING OF THE PETS
In honor of the Feast
of St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. Ingram will have our annual Blessing of
Pets on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 9:00 AM at the statue of our
Blessed Virgin Mary in front of the church. All pets are welcome,
but should be handled properly on leashes on in cages. Each
individual is responsible for the behavior of his or her pet. Mark
your calendars now and bring your favorite animal to receive God's
blessing.
WOMEN’S DAY OF PRAYER AND REFLECTION
Sr. Mary Rosina & Sr.
Geraldyne will be leading a day of Prayer and Reflection for Women on
Saturday, October 24, 2009 beginning at 8:30 AM with Mass and ending at
2 PM. All ladies are invited.
The cost for this day is $20 per person including all supplies and
lunch.

You must pre-register no later than October 19, 2009.
RACHEL’S VINEYARD WEEKEND RETREAT
A Rachel's Vineyard
Weekend Retreat is a beautiful opportunity for any woman, man, or family
member
who has struggled with the emotional, spiritual or psychological pain of
abortion.

FALL FESTIVAL
The St. Joseph Catholic School’s Annual Fall
Festival will be held Friday, October 16 from
2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at SJS.
All families and anyone else you would like to invite are welcome to
join in on the fun!

Auction, Raffle, Bake Sale,
Hamburgers and French Fries (cash only please) prepared by the Knights

CCW DEANERY LUNCHEON
Please join our ladies on Sunday, October 11, 2009
at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church
for the CCW Macon Deanery Fall Meeting and Luncheon.
The food and fun begins at 1:00 PM

Ingram is the Macon Deanery Moderator and is hoping for a very large
turnout of ladies from Holy Spirit!

week 2.
On Tuesday, October 6 we will have the first session of week 3.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES
All young adults between the ages of 21-40 are invited to attend this
program.
Spirit and Truth at St. Joseph's: Monday, October 5 at
7:00 PM in the church.
Theology on Tap will be Tuesday, October 13 at Shamrock
in Macon.
Our speaker will be Fr. Justin from St. Joseph's. Dinner at 6:30 and
speaker at 7:30 p.m.
YAM yam Day Retreat "Living your faith in day to day life"
Saturday, October 17 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
at the FAM building on Orange St. with Vigil Mass following the retreat at
St. Joseph's.

CURSILLO
If anyone is interested in attending the Fall weekends of either the
men's or woman's Cursillo
please see either Fr. Mike Ingram or Joyce in the office.
Cursillo is a Spanish term for “a short course in Christianity”.
Each of these weekends will have English and Spanish groups.
HOLY SPIRIT MEN’S CLUB
All men of our parish, 18 years old and older, are invited and
encouraged to attend the Holy Spirit Men's Club Meeting on Thursday,
October 8, 2009 in the Social Hall.
Dinner will be at 6:30 PM followed by our guest speaker and meeting at 7
PM.
Please come and enjoy a wonderful evening of delicious food and fellowship
with your brothers in Christ.
