ADVENT
With Advent starting Sunday, November 28, please take a few minutes a day, maybe five minutes, and use the Little
Blue Book to grow closer to the Lord before Christmas. Spending just a few minutes a day reading the booklet will
dramatically change your experience during Advent from one of commercialization to one of spiritual openness.
Copies are provided by the parish and will be located in the narthex.
Please pick up one next weekend for your family
and start a new Christmas tradition

MEN FOR CHRIST
On Vocation Discernment Retreat
December 17-18
Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Macon
"God, what's my next step? Is it priesthood? Is it marriage? How can I know for sure?"
If you've asked yourself these questions, this retreat is for you!
Join other men of the Diocese of Savannah for prayer, discernment, and inspiring talks from priests and seminarians.
Even if you're not called to priesthood, this retreat will bring you closer to Jesus and help you experience his peace. First session begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 17 and concludes with Mass at 6:00 PM Saturday, December 18. You must be a senior in high school or older. Don't miss this awesome, grace-filled weekend! Find more information and register online at www.savannahpreist.com.http://www.savannahpreist.com

ANIMAL SHELTER HELP
The Macon Animal Shelter desperately needs your help this Christmas Season!
The Shelter is in need of the following items: dry dog/cat food, kitty litter, puppy pads, bleach, laundry detergent, towels/blankets, stainless steel bowls, shampoo, & flea spray.  There will be a designated box in the narthex for your donations.  Please help our local Animal Shelter this Christmas Season!
For more information call Jennifer Tillery @ 737-8608

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS
We are now accepting donations for Christmas Poinsettias. They are $15 each;
you can have them in honor of or in memory of loved ones.
If you don't receive envelopes, we have some in the narthex for you to use.
Please be sure to write your name and the name(s) of the person(s)
you want remembered this Christmas on the envelope.

CCD THANKSGIVING
There will be no CCD classes next Sunday, November 28.
We will resume classes on December 5.
Everyone please have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

ADVENT COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR
Do not let our secular, materialistic world steal your Advent season!
Do not fall into the trap of shopping, decorating, cooking, entertaining and partying while letting the real reason for the season slip away. Join Fr. Mike Ingram for "Advent Coffee With the Pastor" each Sunday of Advent beginning Sunday, November 28th. We will meet in the Social Hall from 11:15 AM until 12:00 Noon. There will be a different Advent lesson each week along with "take-home ideas". The importance of the birth of Jesus at Christmas deserves our proper preparation during Advent! All parishioners are encouraged to attend.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
In honor of the Thanksgiving Holiday the church office will close at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 24th and
remain closed through the weekend. The RCIA class is cancelled on Tuesday, November 23rd.

CHRISTMAS CROSSES
A hand-made wooden cross, made from the original pews of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, would make an ideal Christmas gift! They only cost $20.00 and all proceeds go the Building Fund.
You may purchase them after Mass from Fr. Mike or during the week in the church office.
