RCIA
Are you interested in becoming a Catholic and being received into the Church?
Or perhaps you would just like to inquire into the basics of the Catholic faith?

Maybe you are already a Catholic, and would like to know more about your faith and the teachings of our Church.
Or maybe you never received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and would like to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church.
If so, join us for RCIA Inquiry classes on Tuesday evenings beginning at 7:00 PM. You are under no obligation if you attend. We will begin our journey of faith with an information session and overview of the classes on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Parish Hall. All are welcome, for more information call the Parish office at 478-788-6386.

MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER
Married Couples.
It has been said that the greatest gift you can give your children is two parents very much in love with each other.
Polish up this gift and put a bow on it at a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend.
You deserve the best and your children need to see you reaching for it.
For more information or to register for the October 7-9 weekend in Savannah, call Paul & Judy (904) 249-7171
or register online at www.jaxwwme.com

WELCOME TO HOLY SPIRIT
We extend a warm welcome to all who are visiting or are new to our parish.
If you attend Holy Spirit regularly and consider this your home parish, please register using the form available
in the narthex, or come by the church office.

CONVERSATION WITH THE PASTOR
Fr. Kavanaugh will begin Conversations with the Pastor after Mass, this Sunday.
While the children are in CCD,  join us and enjoy conversation, coffee, and fellowship.
This week's topic is "Open Forum" questions and answers.

GRACE SCHOLARS
Would you like to help a family receive a Catholic education at St. Peter Claver School?
You can do this simply by redirecting some or all of what you owe in state income tax to GRACE Scholars.
You make a donation and your tax bill is reduced by that amount!
To see how easy it is visit www.gracescholars.org or call 404-920-7900 or 912-354-9071.

FREE TUTORING
If you know a Bibb County student in need of FREE tutoring in math or reading, ECOT (Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow) can help. They provide Title I Supplemental Educational Services.
For more information, call 1.888.326.8395, ext 3625.

BISHOP HARTMAYER'S ORDINATION
The ordination and installation of Bishop-Elect Gregory Hartmayer will be broadcast live on EWTN
on the afternoon of Tuesday, 18 October.
We will not know about the availability of tickets to this event until some time later this month.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SERVE?
The upcoming changes in the Roman Missal give us an opportunity to deepen our understanding of Sacred Liturgy. Please consider whether you are called to a more active participation in the Liturgy by serving as Altar server, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Usher, CCD teacher, or in the Choir.
Please call the Parish Office at (478) 788-6386 if you would like to volunteer.
