CCW
The CCW is sponsoring a self defense class on Monday, June 20 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Social Hall. They would like to raise awareness of violent crimes and offer solutions to this growing problem. "Fight Like a Girl" Self Defense Class will promote safety in public places. This is open to all women of the parish ages 15-115!

FATHER'S DAY
Father's Day is not until Sunday, June 19, but we want you to start thinking about it as we will begin our Father's Day Novena on Saturday, June 11. We want to pray for all of our fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and godfathers both living and deceased. Please pick-up a Father's Day packet in the narthex. It includes all the information as well as the novena prayer card and a beautiful religious Father's Day card to give to the most important men in in your life.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Summer is almost here and we are planning a "High Seas Expedition" for the week of June 27th through July 1st! Vacation Bible School is for all children ages 3 through rising 6th graders. Teens, please consider helping with this 1 week program. It's a lot of fun and a great way to get your community service hours.

STEAK NIGHT
FOR SEMINARIANS
The Holy Spirit Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Steak Dinner on Saturday, June 25th
from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Social Hall. Eat in or take out. It is $15.00 per person and includes steak, baked potato, salad, roll, and tea. Beer and wine will be available. Tickets must be purchased in advance. They are available after Mass and in the church office. Proceeds will benefit the Diocese of Savannah Vocation Office's Summer Camp for boys and girls in July! Please come out and support the youth of our diocese as well as this will be Fr. Ingram's last weekend at Holy Spirit.

COMMUNION SERVICES
There will be Communion Services Monday June 13 thru Thursday June 16, at 9:00 AM, due to Fr. Ingram's vacation.

VIRTUS TRAINING
We always need adult volunteers to help with VBS and various other parish ministries. You do need to be VIRTUS qualified! We will offer a VIRTUS class on Saturday, June 18th at 9:00 AM and again on Tuesday, June 21st at 6:00 PM Please call Petra at 788-6386 to register for the class.

FR. INGRAM'S VACATION
Fr. Ingram will be out of the parish June 11-18 for his annual week in Florida vacation. He will be working on his tan and doing a great deal of reading by the pool in the Orlando area! We pray for his safe travel, good weather, and that his vacation will be restful, relaxing, and refreshing! Fr. Adam Szufel, retired Air Force Chaplain from Warner Robins, will be celebrating Mass at Holy Spirit the weekend of June 11-12, 2011. There will be no confessions on Saturday, June 11.

ULTREYA
This month the Ultreya will be on Monday, June 13 beginning at 7:00 PM. at St. Peter Claver.
If you have made your Cursillo or if you are thinking about making it please join us.
The weekends in the Fall will be November 10-13 for men and November 17-20 for women.

SUMMERTIME
As school ends for the summer and we begin "vacation mode" please do not forget the reverence and respect our God and His Church deserves! Please continue to give thanks every Sunday by attending Mass wherever you are. Also remember to always wear your "Sunday best" clothes to church even in the hot, humid summertime. Please leave your cell phones in the car or cut them off as soon as you walk into the church. There should not be any texting in church!
God deserves your undivided attention!

BILOXI BOUND
Join the Roaming Catholics Travel Club and Fr. Mike Ingram on a fun-filled trip to the
Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino in Biloxi and an optional day trip to the French Quarter in New Orleans.
The chartered bus trip is Monday, August 1 through Thursday, August 4.
Pick up a flier in the narthex or call the church office for all the details!

CATHOLIC CAMP
The Diocese is sponsoring a summer camp at Camp Echeconne in Lizella, GA (near Macon).
The theme is "Call to Holiness" for girls, July 25-28 and "Vocatio Dei" for boys, July 28-31.
Both camps are for young people who have completed the 6th grade through 12th grade.
The cost is $50. See back page of Vocations bulletin on table in the narthex.
